The forest service has found a noxious weed that has not been in North Dakota before. It is Halogeton glomeratus common name saltlover. It is also very poisonous to boot due to in concentrating oxalates. It likes saline areas. Go to the web site below for some excellent photos on this plant. Keep your eyes open for this new invasive plant and let your county weed board know if you see it around.
The good thing about this plant is it is not very palatable and will not readily invade on healthy grazing lands.
